We are proud and delighted that the Senate of the Republic of Poland has adopted a resolution establishing 2027 as the Year of Andrzej Wróblewski.

“In 2027, we will mark the 100th anniversary of the birth and the 70th anniversary of the tragic death of Andrzej Wróblewski, one of the most outstanding post-war artists. In less than twelve years of artistic practice, he achieved a remarkable mastery of portraying social moods, physiognomic types, and creating penetrating characterizations of groups and individuals, reflecting historical conditions and realities that extend beyond the experience of post-war Poland,” emphasized Senator Ewa Matecka.

For the Foundation, this marks the culmination of many years of consistent research, archival, and exhibition work aimed at positioning the artist’s oeuvre in its rightful place within the international art world. These anniversaries will serve as an impulse for a multifaceted program, including solo exhibitions, presentations of his work in dialogue with other artists, and educational projects.
