,,MORNING NEWS” SERIES SECOND TIME ABROAD

24.07.2017

After the exhibition “Andrzej Wroblewski: Recto/Verso 1948-1949, 1956-1957” in the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid the “Morning news” series is again travelling abroad. From 10 June 2017 the artist’s works from the series are shown on the 14th edition of Documenta in Kassel.

“Morning news” includes six works made in ink in 1953. They were inspired by the death of Joseph Stalin. Besides Spain, the works were presented in 1953 during the first exhibition of caricature and in the National Museum in Cracow during the “Andrzej Wroblewski. Constantly looking ahead” exhibition at the turn of 2012 and 2013.

The Documenta 14 in Kassel, during which the visitors can also see Wroblewski’s other series “Flood in the Netherlands” lasts from 10 June until 17 September 2017.
