EXHIBITION IN NATIONAL MUSEUM IN POZNAŃ WITH ANDRZEJ WROBLEWSKI’S WORKS

From 6 August until 12 November the National Museum in Poznań hosts “The Cracks of Freedom – Polish art between 1945 and 1948/1949”, an exhibition which comprises, among others, five works by Andrzej Wroblewski.

Among the presented works of the artist there are known (famous?) paintings from the permanent exhibition of the National Museum in Poznań, such as Execution with a Boy (Execution V) from 1949, Emotional Content of the Revolution from 1948 and the often reproduced gouache (Mountains), [Mountains no. 1212].

For the first time since 1960s the visitors can see [Sketch for Executions, Executions with nine persons] from 1949 with [Landscape with black sun] on the back. These works belong to the National Museum in Poznań.

The exhibiton has three sections: The time of still-life, War/war, Abstraction and Surrealism. Its curator is Wlodzimierz Nowaczyk.
